Just after arriving in Beaucaire and
settling into our rooms we had a nice relax by the pool
As I arrived at the pool Jamie
managed to push me into the surprisingly warm tropical pool
Croissants for breakfast yum much
better than the food we had on the overnight train.
Krunchy cereal was also available
but wasn’t nearly as delicious as the pastries. yum!
Having had a delicious breakfast we
were off to the Pont du Gard for a gander
It was mind blowing that the romans
are able to build such magnificent structures
The views from the area were amazing
and lots of good pictures were taken
Haribo gummi bears are very tasty
and are a good snack to keep with you at all times
It was a rather nice day the sun was
shining and the sky was clear we headed to the river
Suddenly after jack decided to dive
in his head was cut open on a rock blood was flowing
However we had a towel handy to curb
the tide of blood flowing from Jack’s head
Eating now ill finish the blog when
I get back from dinner in a while
After that delicious dinner I’m
ready to continue the story of our adventures in Beaucaire
Driving to Nîmes I kept pressure on
Jack’s wound while we found a parking space
After finding a parking space and
having a quick lunch of croissants and ham we went off to
The Maison Carrée and Mr Buckingham
and Jack went off to find a pharmacy.
The hotel here is really nice and
has been a good break before we jump into Paris
However I’m looking forward to
seeing the Eiffel tower and the Louvre Museum
Everyday here has been amazing and a
good rest after the tiring days in Rome.
Preposterously Roman legionnaires were
outside the amphitheatre in Nîmes marching
On our return we went for a relaxing
swim while Mr Buckingham drove jack to the hospital.
Now Jack returned from the hospital
after having his head glued shut and ordered
To not get his head wet. Then we had
a lovely three course meal for dinner.
During our time at Beaucaire I’ve
had some of the best nights of sleep on the tour so far
Ultimately jack turned out fine
after his head wound and has been back to normal.
Grass is everywhere here, which is a
nice change from the cities we’ve been in recently.
Also the food here is really good
and is a nice change from pizza every night in Rome.
Reminiscing to our earlier
adventures in Athens they seem so long ago.
Dinner tonight was quite delicious
and our last one for Beaucaire before we leave for Paris.
