Joseph Youl — Paris

Paris Is most likely my favourite city we’ve been to so far, rivalled perhaps only by Florence. I’m writing this blog while on a train heading for London, the city I’ve been looking most forward to. In Paris we did all of the main attractions and they were all as awesome as I expected. When we went to the Louvre, we saw countless works of art, including the Mona Lisa which was smaller than I expected. The Louvre was just enormous. We spent hours there, going at a fast pace and even then we didn’t even cover half of it. Some day I’d love to go back there and spend a full day, going everywhere. The other main attraction we went to was most definitely the Eiffel tower. Different people went to it on different days, when we had free time, myself going last night. I only have one thing to say about it, It is unbelievably high.

Besides the main tourist sites we went to, the city itself is amazing, I can finally see why people call it the city which never sleeps, with cars and people cruising the city all night long. Transport with the metro is also incredibly easy and I’m certain that I could now find my way to anywhere in the city. Sadly I didn’t try frog’s legs but apparently they’re quite tasteless. Instead I tried snails, which I loved. Paris is definitely a city which I’m going to return to, most likely only on a holiday but I’d like to live here as well.
