BENJAMIN LEAR -- THE MORE CRITICAL OPINION ON ATHENS

Honestly the flight to Athens has destroyed any enjoyment I had in flying. I was only able to sleep for about 2 hours at the most during that marathon during which my lips have suffered catastrophic skin failure. This has truly been a pain in the ass throughout this trip as they are constantly in pain. I did buy a chap stick about thirty minutes ago, which I then proceeded to snap before the first use. Big waste of euro’s yet.
Anyway Athens is awesome! The attractions are as appealing as an affluent apple and the suburbs are also quite beautiful. The graffiti can be tasteful and on many cases I liked the graffiti unlike the other guys, It symbolises a lively city except for the untasteful graffiti that symbolises ghettofication. The Greeks there were pretty obnoxious which was apparent with their stares, especially the youth who have a general theme of a mo-hawk and some 90’s outfit. The food is pretty basic in most restaurants, a kebab store we visited had only two choices, pork or chicken, the rest was out of our control. Our group was constantly bombarded by men advertising their restaurants, literally pulling us to the side to shove a menu in our arms, which was admittedly kinda fun trying to dodge a weave past.
The shopping there was amazing and after spending small sums of money on food like ham and bread, i personally felt like i wasn’t doing my job in spending my parents cash; a trip to the flea market fixed that. Now we’re on a ferry to Italy, pretty boring compared to the constant walking in Athens but i guess it’s a good rest after these three great days. We’ve earned a good nights sleep, which i’m not getting at the moment due to this blog. What else can i write… People are getting blood noses randomly, we’ve made friends with many strays and Nick Poulsen donated a part of his knee to the road back in Mycenae. That’s about all i’ve got that’s new to this blog.
